On behalf of the ERNST Training School Team, we are pleased to present the ERNST Training School Notebook. This comprehensive resource comprises three case studies focusing on:

  • Developing and implementing support programs for healthcare workers involved in patient safety incidents, drawing from five second victim support programs
  • The path of a healthcare professional in the aftermath of a patient safety incident
  • Patient safety incident in a hospital setting
 

These materials are intended for training and educational purposes. They are covered under Cost Action 19113-ERNST. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The European Researchers’ Network Working on Second Victims. Patient Safety is a Priority in Europe. However, unfortunately every year between 8 and 12% of the people admitted to hospitals and around 6% of those in primary care suffer from an adverse event (AE) while receiving healthcare.
